The founder of Buy-side saw a massive gap in how corporate buyers research acquisitions, but he only had a raw concept. To prove the product's viability to early investors, we had to build an analytics platform from scratch, transforming a chaotic sea of global company data into a structured, pitch-ready tool.
Working daily with the founder and developers, I led the product design from zero to one. Driven by competitor research and stakeholder interviews, I designed an intuitive architecture featuring complex filtering systems and interactive data visualizations. I turned dense financial and staff metrics into clean, easy-to-read charts, all backed by a scalable design system.
The result was a robust seed version of the Buy-side platform that made complex M&A data instantly actionable. When presented to a closed network of investors, the intuitive user experience validated the founder's initial vision and successfully secured the startup's very first round of seed funding.
